Arthur Grom Parham[1] (25 June 1883[2] –10 January 1961[3]) was the Anglican Bishop of Reading[4] from 1942 until 1954. He was educated at Magdalen College School, Oxford then Exeter College in the same city and ordained in 1910. Beginning his ministry with a curacy at Bromley he was then appointed Chaplain of Magdalen College, Oxford.[5] When peace returned he became Rector of Easthampstead, then Rural Dean of Reading[6] and finally (before his elevation to the Episcopate) Archdeacon of Berkshire.[7] In retirement he continued to serve the Church as an Assistant Bishop within the Diocese of Oxford.
